The use of marble in construction
Marble is a natural facing material that has excellent decorative properties. The stone was used in the creation of sculptures by Michelangelo in ancient times.
Where is marble used?
Today, the popularity of marble is growing rapidly. The stone is applied in different building directions. Most often the stone is used:
During the construction and decoration of metro stations, underground halls, during the lining of premises. Quite often, modern manufacturers use stone in the process of making bathtubs, monuments, slabs, washbasins. When decorating rooms, marble is used to decorate luxurious Florentine mosaics.
The stone can be used in the process of creating lamps, stylish tableware, elegant finishes for decorating rooms. Quite often, stone is used in the metallurgical field in the process of building open-hearth furnaces. Sometimes the material is used by the glass and electrical industries, road services. Tiles and mosaic panels can be made from marble chips.
Cast marble is used in the production of bathtubs and countertops. It only imitates natural stone and at the same time has a more affordable price. In the production process of cast marble, quartz sand is used, as well as a mixture of essential resins.
The scope of marble is constantly expanding. More and more manufacturers are using natural stone to create their products.
The process of marble extraction is quite complicated and is carried out in special quarries, less often in deep mines. The highest quality samples of the material can be obtained using stone-cutting machines that form monolithic blocks.
